DOE - Declaration of Excellence

have you ever ask yourself what will you have, who will you be after 3 years, 5 or 10 years from now?
DOE , stands for Declaration of Excellence. I knew this short form from Leadership Programme of Asiaworks in Year 2000. After few yrs, it comes back to my life, when the time I ask myself what excellence is to me again. DOE is a document that written the meaning of excellence by putting all your targets that you are going to archieve within a period of time. DOE consists of the methods worked out beforehand for the accomplishment of objectives, of course la, without actions, it's just another piece of paper.
How to start
1. take a paper out, write down the following six categories
- Family
- Career
- Health
- Money
- Leisure and spiritual
- Relationship
2. write your target for each category and actions to be taken for the particular target, write as detail as you can. for example…, in career category, your target is to increase your salary, so your action will be meet 3 customers per day la, do more cool calling la, or flatter your boss everyday until he shiok shiok
3. give a deadline for each target, and tell you friends what your targets are, so they can remind and support you throughout the whole year 2007
4. for each target, write down the names of KNOW-HOW mentors to guide you, so you can finish the task faster.
now it’s the time for me to review what i have done all these years.
